Seamless Streaming with

Livebox’s Multi CDN Integration

Leverage Livebox's Multi CDN functionality to ensure faster, more reliable video delivery. By distributing content across multiple CDNs, you can reduce latency, balance traffic across regions, and prevent network congestion, ultimately providing your audience with a seamless viewing experience.

Core Capabilities of Livebox's Multi CDN System

Automatic Scaling and Load Balancing

Livebox's Multi CDN functionality intelligently manages traffic by automatically assigning it to the best-performing edge servers, ensuring optimal content delivery.

The system continuously monitors server performance and viewer location, balancing the load in real time to prevent server overloads and maintain high performance.

This dynamic load balancing allows Livebox to scale effortlessly, accommodating large numbers of concurrent viewers without compromising streaming quality. By distributing traffic efficiently, Livebox ensures a seamless viewing experience, even during peak times.

Geographical Distribution

Livebox enhances streaming quality by utilizing geographical distribution, ensuring that content is delivered from edge servers closest to the viewer.

This proximity-based approach minimizes the distance data needs to travel, reducing latency and improving load times.

The result is a smoother, higher-quality streaming experience with minimal buffering. With a network of strategically located servers worldwide, Livebox is equipped to provide efficient content delivery to a global audience, optimizing the viewing experience across different regions.

Failover and Redundancy

Livebox's Multi CDN system is designed with built-in redundancy and an automatic failover mechanism to ensure uninterrupted streaming.

In the event of a server failure or network issue, traffic is seamlessly redirected to backup servers, preventing downtime and maintaining a consistent viewer experience.

The continuous monitoring of CDN infrastructure allows for the swift activation of failover protocols, further enhancing the reliability of content delivery. This redundancy is crucial for maintaining high availability, making Livebox a dependable solution for delivering content without interruptions.

Implementation Steps for Multi-CDN Setup in Livebox

1

Access and Setup

Log into Livebox: Begin by logging into your Livebox account. Once you're in, navigate to the dashboard where you can manage all aspects of your streaming infrastructure. This is your control center for setting up and managing Multi-CDN, allowing you to distribute content across various Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to optimize delivery and performance.

Navigate to Stream Group Server: From the dashboard, locate the "Stream Group Server" settings. This section is essential for configuring and managing your stream groups, which will be used to organize and distribute your content across multiple CDNs. The Stream Group Server settings allow you to efficiently handle the setup and ongoing management of your Multi-CDN strategy.

2

Create and Configure Groups

Add New Group: Click on the option to "Add a New Group" within the Stream Group Server settings. Enter a name and a brief description for this group. The name should reflect the type or purpose of the streams you will be grouping together (e.g., "High-Traffic Streams," "Regional Streams," etc.). This group will serve as a collection point for the streams you want to distribute across multiple CDNs, helping you manage them more effectively.

Add Streams to Group: Select the specific streams you want to include in the group from your existing channels. These could be live streams, on-demand content, or any other type of media that requires distribution. Assign these selected streams to the newly created group or an existing group. This step is crucial for organizing your content delivery and ensuring that the right streams are routed through the appropriate CDNs.

3

Manage Stream Groups

Edit Stream Groups: Once your groups are set up, you may need to make adjustments over time. To do this, navigate back to the Stream Group Server settings and select the group you wish to edit. Here, you can add or remove streams, rename groups, or modify the group’s description. These adjustments allow you to adapt your Multi-CDN strategy as your content delivery needs evolve.

Managing stream groups effectively ensures that your content is always delivered via the most efficient and reliable paths, enhancing both performance and user experience. The flexibility to edit stream groups also means you can respond dynamically to changes in traffic, geography, or content priorities, ensuring optimal delivery at all times.
